A.G. Rhodes Wesley Woods becomes A.G. Rhodes DeKalb
A.G. Rhodes is making a name change at one of our communities: from A.G. Rhodes Wesley Woods to A.G. Rhodes DeKalb. This is a name change only. The leadership, staff, quality of care, and daily operations at this location remain the same.

Why is A.G. Rhodes removing “Wesley Woods” from its name?
This change aligns with Emory removing the Wesley Woods name from its Clifton Road campus, and we are honoring a request to remove it from our building.
What’s the backstory of Emory removing the name?
A partnership that began in the 1950s between Emory and Wesley Woods Senior Living—a nonprofit senior living organization that operates across North Georgia—resulted in this campus once providing an array of services for older adults, many of which were delivered by Emory. In the last decade or so, Emory has shifted away from providing geriatric services on this campus—which were services embodied in the Wesley Woods name—and have since removed the name from the campus and its buildings. A.G. Rhodes leases land from Emory to operate our nursing home on this campus, which we opened in 1997, and now we are honoring a request to remove the Wesley Woods name from our building to align with the name being removed from the campus.
What is the new name?
Our new name is A.G. Rhodes DeKalb, which clearly identifies our location and highlights our strong connection to the community we serve.
Is A.G. Rhodes still operating this location?
Yes. A.G. Rhodes remains the operator of the nursing home at Clifton Road. This change is solely about honoring a request to remove the Wesley Wood name from our building to align with Emory removing it from the campus where we operate.
Will this affect care or services?
No. This is a name change only. The leadership, staff, quality of care, and daily operations at this location remain the same. A.G. Rhodes DeKalb will continue to serve hundreds of elders each year with the same dedicated team and commitment to quality.
Why make this change now?
We are honoring a request to remove the Wesley Woods name from our building to align with Emory recently completing the process of removing the name from its campus and buildings.
