Therapy and Stroke Rehabilitation Programs for Short-Term & Long-Care Patients
A.G. Rhodes has innovative inpatient and outpatient therapy and stroke rehabilitation programs available for short-term recovery patients and long-term care residents at various levels, whether they are recovering from surgery, from an injury or they are working to improve their strength.
Our licensed therapists tailor programs to meet the needs of the seniors who stay with us, and they provide one-on-one, comprehensive treatment using the latest techniques and equipment.
Our state-of-the-art therapy and rehabilitation gyms include advanced technology and equipment to better serve our patients. At our Wesley Woods location, equipment such as an anti-gravity treadmill with unweighting technology enables patients to rehabilitate their lower extremity injuries, and a unique balance system tests for and helps improve balance deficiencies. Our Atlanta location has a therapy pool where aquatic therapy helps improve mobility, muscle strength and more. Additionally, we are one of the only nursing organizations of our kind to offer horticultural therapy and music therapy in our homes.
At A.G. Rhodes, we use senior-friendly computer software applications, and adaptive devices for individuals with physical and cognitive impairments. We even incorporate gaming systems such as Wii and Xbox, which offer effective and fun rehabilitative exercises. Additionally, iPads are used during some therapy sessions while working on speech, motor, visual and cognitive skills. iPads may also be used to record patients undergoing physical therapy, such as walking up stairs. The video is played back to the patients while providing feedback to help them improve.
These are just a few examples of the many advanced services and equipment that we use, which reflect a commitment to offer the most distinctive programming available in both short-term recovery and long-term care.
