Give a Donation

As one of only a few nonprofit nursing home providers in the state, our focus since 1904 has been, and will continue to be, on our mission. Many of the seniors we serve cannot afford their medical and living expenses, and your generous contributions help with costs that are not covered by insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. These expenses can range widely from rehabilitation services, to supplies for our Horticultural Therapy and Music Therapy programs. Donations help pay for outings, activities and programming that greatly enhance the quality of life for the seniors who stay with us. Donations also help cover the costs of items that some seniors cannot afford, like eyeglasses, hearing aids or power wheelchairs.

You may make a general donation to our annual fund, or below are several programs that you can support. You may give your gift online here, or send us a check made payable to Foundation for Rhodes Homes, Inc., 3715 Northside Parkway, Bldg. 200, Suite 725, Atlanta GA 30327. A.G. Rhodes is a 501(c)3 organization, and your donations are tax-deductible as prescribed by law. Any gift you make can be made in memory or in honor of someone special, and we can send a letter to a recipient notifying them of your gift.

  • Seeds for Seniors
The Seeds for Seniors program within our Horticultural Therapy Department promotes gardening activities such as planting herbs to increase sensory stimulation, watering to improve motor skills, and group gardening to help decrease isolation and depression. Funds raised support the Horticultural Therapy Department and help cover the costs of materials such as seeds, soil, pots and other gardening items.
  • Songs for Seniors
The Songs for Seniors program within our Music Therapy Department incorporates music into many areas of the day including therapy and rehabilitation sessions, organized activities and personal time. A key component of the program is the use of music devices that include songs tailored for individual residents to enjoy. Funds raised support the Music Therapy Department and help cover the costs of various items including iPods, downloadable music and headsets, as well as staff training.
  • Activities Program
We are committed to giving each person who stays with us the opportunity to engage in activities that they love. Having opportunities to choose, especially from among meaningful options, can significantly influence a person’s well-being and quality of life. Funds raised for the activities program help us continue offering a calendar filled with fun and interesting onsite and offsite events and outings.
  • Employee Bonus Program
Our staff members are committed to caring for residents and patients as if they were part of their own family, and employees view their job as a career, not just a place to work.  While it is our policy that employees not accept gifts or gratuities, we have a special fund for residents, patients and family members to contribute to an annual bonus to honor the members of their care team. These gifts are distributed in December, but your contribution can be made at any time during the year.

Note of Employee Appreciation

If you received exceptional service, you can recognize an individual caregiver or an entire team by writing a note of appreciation. This simple effort is greatly appreciated by the employees who go above and beyond to care for the seniors who stay here. Those you recognize will receive an acknowledgment.
