In celebration of Hi

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re shining our Employee Spotlight on Hilda Mota Zoto, a longtime member of our A.G. Rhodes Cobb team.

For more than a decade, Hilda has built meaningful relationships with our elders while also finding special ways to share her Mexican heritage with our community. Last year, she even brought family and friends to A.G. Rhodes to perform traditional Mexican dances.

For Hilda, it all comes back to connection. As she says, “You get connections with elders. It’s amazing. You love them like they’re your family.”

107 and celebrating in style! 🎉🎂

A.G. Rhodes Atlanta elder Annie Moore celebrated her 107th birthday with a Paris-themed party surrounded by friends, A.G. Rhodes care partners and fellow Spelman College alumnae.

And Paris was a fitting theme! A 1943 Spelman graduate, Ms. Moore went on to study fashion design in New York and Paris before establishing her own fashion house in Detroit, which she successfully operated for 20 years. Throughout her life and career, she has credited her faith, creativity and perseverance with helping her overcome barriers and make a difference for those who followed.

Happy 107th birthday, Ms. Moore!

And a special thank you to Spelman College and its alumnae for helping make her celebration so memorable. ...

We’re enjoying the fruits of our labor at A.G. Rhodes...literally! 🍍

Elders at A.G. Rhodes DeKalb recently harvested and tasted a ripe pineapple grown in our Horticultural Therapy program. Even better, these pineapples were propagated from previous harvests, and each one takes about two years to flower and produce fruit.

And the growing continues. The top of this pineapple has already been potted for a future harvest, and our dwarf papaya is fruiting for the first time.

There’s something pretty special about enjoying what you’ve helped grow!

Here are just a few of the many care partners from our Environmental Services teams who play a critical role in resident health, safety, comfort, and quality of life. From keeping living spaces clean and welcoming, to ensuring residents have fresh linens and laundry, to maintaining the systems and spaces that keep everything running smoothly, their work touches nearly every aspect of daily life.
