Deneil Jennings, a volunteer at our Atlanta home, was recently named Volunteer of the Year by the Council of Volunteer Administrators of Metropolitan Atlanta, Inc. (COVA).
COVA is a nonprofit organization that provides an accessible forum of networking, knowledge sharing, collaboration and leadership skill development opportunities.
Jennings is a volunteer leader with the Hands On Atlanta Civic Leadership Program. This program provides an opportunity for Civic Leaders to further their own personal and professional development goals by mobilizing volunteer teams to complete monthly service projects with Hands On Atlanta nonprofit partners, such as A.G. Rhodes.
“It gives me pleasure to see [the residents] active, smiling and living meaningful lives,” said Jennings about her volunteer service. “So many times they have shared wisdom and added fun to my day.”
