Following in Her Mother’s Footsteps, A.G. RhodesEmployee Spotlight: AnnaRose Carbajal

After caring for her late mother when she became ill, AnnaRose Carbajal found her career aspiration: To follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a nurse.

“She was a CNA and then a nurse. She always told me that I was made for this job,” AnnaRose said.

AnnaRose enrolled in Chattahoochee Technical College’s CNA program and as part of a partnership A.G. Rhodes has with the college, she received on-the-job training at A.G. Rhodes Cobb and began working there as a CNA in 2021 after she finished the program. Now, AnnaRose is enrolled in the college’s Associate of Science in Nursing program to become a Registered Nurse, and after she completes that, she plans to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

A.G. Rhodes is AnnaRose’s first job in the nursing field, and she says she has gained meaningful experience working with older adults.

“I really enjoy interacting with the elders and talking with them. I like their stories.”

AnnaRose says she strives to make residents feel comfortable and at home.

“I take care of them like they’re my own blood,” she said. “I make sure that they’re getting the highest quality of care possible.”

When A.G. Rhodes Cobb Administrator Loretta Barnes first became administrator, she says she noticed the skill and care with which AnnaRose did her job.

“As a new Care Partner at A.G. Rhodes Cobb, I would make rounds and work on the units to get to know everyone. I was impressed with the care provided in many areas. AnnaRose appeared quiet and meticulous in performing her duties. It did not take long to see the compassion she possessed. I am very grateful to have her on our team.”

And AnnaRose appreciates being part of the team. As someone who is close with her own family, she says she values the relationships she has with residents and her fellow Care Partners at A.G. Rhodes.

“It’s like a little family.”
