Based on measurements taken by a manager of the Trees Atlanta Champion Tree Program, a black oak tree at our Atlanta home was recently determined to be one of the largest of its species in Atlanta. 

The tree’s circumference is 161.5″, height is 100′ and average crown spread is 87′. The tree will be listed later this year on the Trees Atlanta Champion Trees website with other champion trees in the city.
