A.G. Rhodes staff members at each of the homes supported efforts to give back to their communities during the holidays.
At A.G. Rhodes of Atlanta, staff partnered with students from Maynard Jackson High School’s ROTC program to feed the homeless during Thanksgiving. For Christmas, employees teamed up with Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in supporting the Angel Tree Program, which provides clothes, toys, and other items to the children and families of inmates.
A.G. Rhodes of Cobb participated in a toy drive for MUST Ministries and collected toys that were distributed to children in Cobb and Cherokee counties. Even Ms. Smirtic, at 108-years-young, contributed. Staff members also took names from an angel tree to ensure that each resident in the building received a gift during the holidays.
At A.G. Rhodes at Wesley Woods, employees volunteered at the Atlanta Community Food Bank and helped pack 700 boxes of food that fed more than 17,000 seniors in the Atlanta and the North Georgia areas. Additionally, staff from the rehabilitation department purchased toys that were donated to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
