Throughout the fall and holiday season, the A.G. Rhodes homes celebrated with many different activities. Here are just a few highlights.
Our Wesley Woods home held its annual fall festival in November for residents, staff and their families. Attendees enjoyed arts and crafts, face painting, games and even a petting zoo!
Throughout November and December, all three of our homes held holiday dinners for residents and their families.
A holiday Jewels for Jewels event was held at our Atlanta home. This event was started couple of years ago by one of our residents’ daughters, Arletta Brinson, who recruited friends and family to donate jewelry they no longer used, and to volunteer at this event where residents chose beautiful pieces of jewelry at no cost.
Many visitors come to the homes during the holidays, including this local choir that performed for our Wesley Wood residents.
All three of our homes participated in the 11Alive Can-a-thon. Residents, staff and family members donated canned food items to benefit Salvation Army food pantries. Click here to watch an 11Alive news clip featuring members from the Red Hat Society at our Atlanta home participating.
Members from our Board of Advisors volunteered at our Atlanta home and helped decorate picture frames.
