Lifespan-HTA.G. Rhodes’ Horticultural Therapist, Kirk Hines, and Music Therapist, John Abel, demonstrated to a group of about 20 older adults at Lifespan Academy how music and horticultural activities can be enjoyed at every age.

Lifespan promotes lifelong learning through educational programs offered to older adults in the community. During its “Older But Still Getting Wiser” series, programming focused on ways that seniors can stay active and enjoy their later years. Our therapists talked about the health benefits of horticultural activities and music, and offered tips for how attendees could incorporate simple and enjoyable activities into their daily lives. They also talked about how these therapies are practiced at A.G. Rhodes, and the positive impact they have on the residents and patients who stay there.
