A.G. Rhodes participated in the second annual Pebble Tossers Ripple Run 5K/1M and Nonprofit Expo on September 10. The event encourages children and families to become active participants in the community. Through engaging in hands-on activities, kids learn about nonprofit organizations such as A.G. Rhodes so that they can potentially volunteer and make a difference in the community.
Organizations at the expo set up mini-service projects to expose participants to a variety of local, nonprofit missions. At A.G. Rhodes’ station, participants made cards to give to residents in honor of National Grandparents Day on September 11.
The event was a meaningful way to recognize the National Day of Service & Remembrance in commemoration of the 15th anniversary of 9/11 with community service, family togetherness and healthy living.
