The R. Howard Dobbs, Jr. Foundation has granted $100,000 to A.G. Rhodes Health & Rehab, a not-for-profit organization operating three skilled nursing facilities in the Atlanta area.

The grant will be used to rebuild nurse stations at the organization’s flagship location at 350 Boulevard SE in Atlanta. The nurse stations, which were originally patterned after hospital stations, will be rebuilt to be less institutional and offer a more home-like atmosphere.

The existing nurse stations were constructed decades ago and the structures are worn and dated.  By rebuilding them to be less clinical, A.G. Rhodes creates a living condition that is better equipped to focus on the needs of residents and give them greater access to staff.

“We are so appreciative to the Dobbs Foundation for this critical funding,” said Deke Cateau, Administrator of A.G. Rhodes of Atlanta.  “This grant money will enable us to develop a more comfortable atmosphere for our residents and a more effective work space for our staff.”
